The heart of Teen Challenge has always been evangelism. To seek and reach the most vulnerable marginalised people in our society.

We are delighted to announce that we have recently completed the purchase of a former hotel in Upper Broughton, Leicestershire. For many years we have been exercised about how we can best develop our training to equip the maximum number of people to work with those of the fourth world. This facility provides us with amazing opportunities. It is 14 miles from Nottingham’s city centre and 17 miles from Leicester and has millions of people living within a 50 mile radius. We will be located just a short drive from many inner city areas where addiction and prostitution are so prevalent, yet we will be situated a mile and a half from the nearest village.

“Wayne Raper, our Operations Director, has been travelling over the last six months whilst supporting the setting up of new outreach works in South East Dorset, Ilkeston and West Lothian.

Altogether 87 team members have been recruited, trained and released as volunteers into their local communities to help local people on the streets. Already numerical growth is being experienced by these teams as others see the joy that is to be found in reaching into the darkest places of their towns and cities and pulling out treasure; and with over 600,000 people in the areas that these three new ministries call “our patch” there is ample evidence that “The fields are white unto harvest”.
