25th Anniversary Celebrations

2009 is the 25th Anniversary of the opening of the residential ministry of Teen Challenge in the UK.

When looking forwards 25 years can seem to be a long time but when looking back it can often seem to have gone in a flash! But what exciting and wonderful years they have been!
Thousands of young men and women have come through our doors and many of them have found the freedom, peace and the future for which they were searching. But not only
have we been able to help change the lives of the individual young people who have come for help, we have also brought healing, reconciliation and hope to countless families
and marriages. Teen Challenge is one of the few ministries that really does have an impact not only on the present generation but also on those to come.
But the story has not ended there! What happened in a small village in Wales 25 years ago has spawned residential programmes in England and Scotland and permanent prevention and intervention
centres in many cities and towns in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. But the effects were also felt much further afield. New residential centres opened in India and
Swaziland because of the direct influence and provision of Teen Challenge UK. These ministries are today the largest Teen Challenge centres on their continents. It has been a
privilege and a thrill to have been involved in the birth of such great ministries. But this would not have happened without the dedication of faithful and wonderful staff or without the committed and sacrificial support
of many people around the UK. By their prayers and by their giving a work has been slowly carved out of nothing and today it is literally bringing relief, hope and peace to
thousands in this country and in many other places around the globe. Later this year we will be conducting major tours in the UK to celebrate this milestone and to invite our supporters to celebrate with
us the great faithfulness of God and the amazing work he has done. Please see this newsletter for details of a tour by girls from Hope House in May and watch out for our
next letter that will give details of a special Autumn event.
