



Our Structure
Teen Challenge UK is an autonomous country in the international Teen Challenge family. It enjoys fellowship links with ninety-three other countries through Global Teen Challenge and it is a member of Teen Challenge Europe.
The UK Board of Directors give oversight to all the charity’s activities and in particular it has direct responsibility for all activities that are of a national nature.
National Custodial Trustees have responsibility for safeguarding the national assets of the charity and meet regularly for this purpose.
The Directors Are:
Phil graduated Elim Bible College, Capel, Surrey in 1986. He was appointed to Coventry Elim Church as assistant pastor in May 1986 and later to Selly Oak, Birmingham as pastor in October 1988.
In August 1992 he accepted an appointment as pastor of the City Temple in Swansea where he continued until March 2007 when he became pastor of Dundonald Elim Church in Northern Ireland. In 1993 he became a Director of Teen Challenge UK and has served as Chairman of Teen Challenge since 1994.
In 2006 Phil was also appointed as a Director of Bridges for Peace, a ministry that seeks to build bridges between Christians and Jews particularly through aid and welfare programmes. In 1997 Phil gained a Masters Degree in Theology. Phil is married to Lynn and they have two children Jessica and Joshua.
Jay was brought up in Glasgow, Scotland. He was saved from a lifestyle of drug addiction and entered Teen Challenge where he learned how to live free in Christ. He traveled as an evangelist with "The Evidence" for several years before leading a local Church.
He was ordained within the Elim Church and has pastored in several different Churches. He pioneered the opening of a new residential ministry for Teen Challenge before serving for a short time as National Field Director.
Jay was appointed as Executive Director in April 2010. Jay is passionate about seeing people set free in Christ. He has a unique ministry that is both challenging and inspiring and that encourages people to give their very best to God. Jay has been in full time ministry since 1994.
Jim was converted at the age of 12 under the ministry of Duncan Campbell, he grew up in Motherwell where he attended the Elim Church and it was there that he met and married Margery Stewart. Jim and Margery have been married for 47 years. They entered the minsitry in 1965.
The past 45 years of ministry have been mainly pastoral but Jim has also served as National Youth Director of Elim, Principal of Regents Theological College and Regional Superintendent of the Scottish Elim Churches.
Pastor George McKim grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland with aspirations of becoming a professional footballer, but became involved in loyalist paramilitaries and received a prison sentence for a political crime.
During such times his parents had become Christians and began seriously praying for their rebel son. After much prayer, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ on Mothers Day 1979.
Pastor McKim and his wife Linda moved to Falkirk in 1986 to pioneer The Peoples Church, Falkirk. The Church started with 12 people at the Old Drill Hall. Then 5 years later, with a growing congregation purchased the Falkirk West Church. Today, the Church is a strong & thriving congregation.
Pastor George & Linda returned to Belfast in June 2006 answering the call of God and now pioneer The Peoples Church, Newtownabbey. Pastor George & Linda have 2 boys Lewis & Elliot.
Steve is Senior Pastor of Bridge Street Church in Leeds. He is married to Karen and they have a son aged 14 and a daughter aged 18. Steve is also the Chairman of the local Teen Challenge work in Leeds since is started in 2000.
John was converted at a young age while attending an AOG church in Margate Kent. After leaving school John worked in the Shop fitting industry as a contacts manager. John and his family moved to Carmarthen in West Wales and started attending the Apostolic church. After some years John felt a call of God into further ministry and after completing a two year pastoral course he was ordained as a pastor with the Apostolic church in 1998 , pastoring the Apostolic Church in Carmarthen. Some years later John was recognised as an Apostle and for five years served on the National leadership team serving as the deputy national leader for two of those years.
In 2010 John relocated to Leeds to take up a position as area superintendent supporting pastors. He has a vision to prepare man for ministry and has set up pastoral training program to equip men ready for the call into the pastorate.
John has served on the Teen Challenge Board since 2001. John is married to Sharon and they have just celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. They have four children and six grandchildren.
Way Out Project
This is one of the specialist projects operated by Teen Challenge UK and its purpose is to befriend and help girls trapped in the sex industry, often to support a drug addiction. Learn More

With recycling now part of our every day life, We at Teen Challenge want to be part of that. We have linked up with a company who recycles old mobile phones and ink cartridges. Learn More

As part of the vocational training at Teen Challenge, The girls at Hope House are actively involved in making candles. Learn More
Swaziland
In 1998 Teen Challenge UK was introduced to and came alongside ‘The Lighthouse’, a ministry to street children in Mbabane, Swaziland. Learn More
